Windows Phone 7 Series News : New features, Developer Tool Package, and current Developers [updated]

Microsoft is on quite the run today after their demos at the MIX conference in Las Vegas bombarding cell phone news sites. A demonstrator went through some of the new interface additions, such as efficient navigation on the device and home screen customization, among other management techniques on the device and new application 'hubs' will be able to provide multiple screens of content. Social networking is a big deal for the new Windows Phone 7 Series, and it will be integrating information from social networking sites such as Facebook. One of the most emphasized features is the fact that every Windows Phone 7 Series device is essentially a Zune and it includes the Zune Marketplace. There are also quite a few impressive third-party applications such as;Associated Press, a colorizer app for photo editing from Matchbox Mobile, and one from Jackson Fish Market called 'Hush Hush,' that will serve as a mobile diary, and most impressive of all is the 3D Xbox Live game 'The Harvest.' On that note, Microsoft has released an array of developer tools in preparation for some of their new releases. The new development platform is a combination of features from Silverlight 4 and the XNA Framework for application and game development. Developers will have complete access to the accelerometer, the Microsoft location service, notification services, hardware-accelerated video, internet information services, multitouch support, and camera with microphone functionality.
