
Thanks to other cell phone news, a bunch of information with reliable sources dumped a bundle of clues on us saying Verizon Wireless has dropped the prices of nearly all their smartphones in stock to $99 with a two-year agreement. Wait a second, why would Verizon do such a thing? The general outcome of random price cuts like this one foreshadows new incoming phones to take the old flagship’s prices. The Touch Pro2 should be making home in Verizon Wireless stores soon, as the Touch Pro’s price lowered from $419 to $99. It’s not likely that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be released before November, and that leaves two smartphones that cost more than $99 – the BlackBerry Tour and Samsung Saga.
