I found that the interface was easy to use with vivid colors and animation. Internet Browsing was a flawless experience with streaming clear videos and loading websites at top speed. The responsiveness and speed combined with the sleek design makes for an overall great review. The Hummingbird Processor, TouchWiz 3.0, Wi-Fi connection, and 5 MP camera place this newest android as a complete entertainment phone.

Pros: This Android smartphone is sleek, incredibly fast, and has unbeatable screen quality. The Vibrant comes with a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird Cortex A8 processor, 4 inch AMOLED touch screen, Wi-Fi connection, and a 5 Megapixel camera.

Cons: The major flaw in the Samsung Vibrant is the short battery life with only 390 minutes of talk time. For cell phone addicts who use their phone 24/7, the short battery life may hinder your usage. My last minor complaint involves the plastic backing for the Vibrant; plastic? Needs more of a substantial backing.

This extreme entertainment phone is simply sexy. Its ultra flat design measures only 0.4 inches in width at the center. The classy phone is lightweight yet sturdy. I was slightly let down by the plastic backing and wished T-Mobile and Samsung would have gone with a metal version. The Vibrant has an impressive 16GB of internal memory with 2 GB microSD card, located under the back panel. The outside remains sleek with minimal external buttons. Only a volume control toggle on the left, with a microUB port with slide cover located on the top. The phone also has a head jack fitting the standard 31/2 mm headphones, enabling users to connect personal earphones. The power button which also serves as a lock button completes the external buttons with a camera button noticeably missing. Touch sensitive menu, home, back keys are located at the bottom of the screen and light up when in use.

To follow with it’s Vibrant name, T-Mobile’s latest android has a awe-inspiring four inch AMOLED touch screen. The 800 x 480 pixel quality gives the i-phone 4 a run for it’s money. The animated interface has 16 million colors with WVGA resolution. The richness is unsurpassed. In addition to the screen quality, the TouchWiz 3.0 was an impressive upgrade from Samsung that I enjoyed. The Vibrant can be personalized by rearranging widgets and applications, along with creating up to seven additional home screens. Even the order of the home screens can be changed, which is definitely a nice feature. Furthermore, programs can be listed in Alphabetical order through a list mode.

Sponsorships from Amazon Kindel, The Sims 3, MobiTV, and James Cameron’s Avatar were preloaded onto the Vibrant. The phone also featured new widgets including Feeds and Updates, which directly links to Social Networks including Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. The Wi-Fi connection and Android 2.1 Platform along with the Hummingbird processor, makes internet browsing fast and reliable. If you think the latest Android can’t get any better, just imagine using the phone from an airplane. Aircell, the leader in airborne communications, is offering 1 month free for inflight wi-Fi to Vibrant customers until January 2011.

The Vibrant weighed in at 4.2 ounces, with dimensions 4.8 inches long by 2.54 inches wide by 0.4 inches thick. This smartphone has Bluetooth and GPS capabilities, along with speakerphone, conference calling, and call forwarding.

T-Mobile’s Samsung Vibrant is extremely fast with its 1 Ghz Hummingbird Processor. When turning on the phone, a missed call or text message is displayed on the screen as a puzzle piece. The update serves a dual purpose for unlocking the phone as you move the piece to its puzzel counterpart. The overall navigation of the phone is smooth with easy transitions between applications. The Vibrant had an efficient accelerometer that quickly switch between portrait and landscape views. The virtual keyboard is expansive, very responsive, and offers large text. The Vibrant displays different forms for text input systems including Swype, the latest in typing technology. When using Swype, your finger is dragged from letter to letter, while the phone dictates your word based on your tracing pattern. In addition to Swype, the Vibrant uses color coordinated threaded text messages that easily separates the sender and receiver. My texting experience was excellent, especially once I became comfortable with Swype.

Web Browsing was a great experience with the Samsung Vibrant due to it’s Wi-Fi capability, and fast processor. Complex websites loaded with speed, almost as if I was holding a personal PC. Effective multitouch zooming, RSS feed, opening multiple windows and picture bookmarking made browsing fun and easy. I was especially impressed with the sharp image and quick responsivness displayed when watching Avatar. With the Vibrant’s 1 Ghz Samsung Hummingbird Processor, MobiTV streamed efficiently, but didn’t have the same picture quality seen in Avatar. In addition to web browsing, the Vibrant had great features including an extensive Media Player along with a Gallery to store movies and photos. Specific features like the Daily Briefing, which displays updates in stocks and news, are great for business sauvy customers.

The magnificent 5 Megapixel camera takes crisp pohotos with auto focus. Furthermore, the digital camera also serves as cam corder recording at 720 P resolution. Features including smile detetion and screen tap for focusing enhances picture quality. Although lacking a flash, sharp photos are still possible in the dark under the night mode setting. The Vibrant makes you wonder how necessary a flash truly is to a camera phone. Contacts are personalized with attached pictured. The vibrant takes multimedia phones to a new level with combining standard phone contacts with additional contacts from Facebook, Twitter. As with other aspects of the phone, you can eliminate any group to make searching simpler. The call quality was perfect, with great reception in multiple areas.

At $199.99 with a two-year T-Mobile contract, Samsung’s Vibrant is an altogether great phone. The interface was easy to use with vivid colors and animation. Internet Browsing was a flawless experience with streaming clear videos and loading websites at top speed. The Hummingbird Processor, TouchWiz 3.0, Wi-Fi connection, and 5 MP camera place this newest android as a complete entertainment phone. The responsiveness and speed combined with the sleek design makes for an overall great review. It was difficult finding fault, but if battery life and camera flash are important features, than the Vibrant may not be your phone of choice.
