Today regarding cell phone news, Samsung announced today the i5700 Galaxy Spica will debut in the U.S. This Android OS smartphone was released in Europe back in November of 2009. This device is being marketed as a multimedia phone with quick access to social networks. To compare this phone to the Android devices in the U.S. Market like the Droid and the Nexus One, the Galaxy seems to be a bit outdated. The features found on this Samsung device are a 800MHz processor, 3.2 inch touch screen with a relatively low 480 x 30 HVGA resolution. It comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera that has auto-focus, WiFi, internal memory of 180MB, and a microSD card slot. The price of this device has yet been set for the U.S. market so we will just have to wait and see what happens.
