With Windows making a huge splash in the cell phone industry this year with all they have been releasing like Windows Phone 7, to the Project Pink phones that have been getting a good amount of chatter recently. Making their way into cell phone news with the Turtle and Pure devices, which are both part of Project Pink. It seems that Microsoft will be teaming up with Verizon Wireless as of right now, and they have been planning and will release at least one of the maybe two new cell phone devices. These two Microsoft Project Pink devices have had photos surface during these past few weeks. The Project Pink phones will have a a focus on social networking and run a novel OS that is by no means Windows Phone 7. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft can make a name for themselves with these hardware devices. They haven't had a lot of experience with hardware other than Xbox, and the Zune. The Zune not being very much of a success so really the good experience comes out of the Xbox, which has nothing to do with being a mobile device. It kinda turns me off because they won't be running Windows Phone 7. Tell me what you think about this Project Pink venture, and if you think it will be a success or failure. [Via BGR]
