Nokia Sues Apple Over Patent Usage

Nokia back in October filed a suit against Apple. Why would Nokia and Apple be going to court you ask your self. Unfortunately, Nokia didn’t bother to check to see if Apple was infringing on any of its own patents when pertaining to GSM, UMTS and/or local area network (LAN) standards, thinking, I guess, that Apple wouldn’t be as brazen to use patented technology with out paying royalties or even asking permission. Realistically, there is more to the reasons involved in why Apple wouldn’t have cleared the usage of protected technology and the purpose of this lawsuit is to find out why and what is to be done now. The lawsuit is to cover the use of 10 patents held by Nokia and analysts says this court battle is to last years.
