Motorola Milestone Vanishes from European Retailer in Less than Three Hours

Even with the abandonment of iPhone exclusivity in Europe, the Motorola Milestone has become the gadget to have, and also a cell phone news celebrity. Retailer eXpansys, which is large enough to record data worthy of generalization, is billing the DROID emulation “the fastest selling gadget in the website’s 11 year history, even more successful than the iPhone” on behalf of selling out within three hours and dishing out approximately 1,000 preorders. Even though that there isn’t a set number of handset sold during that time frame to compute a sales rate, the fact that the device beat out the iPhone for a particular retailer is special. I guess it’s not too unreasonable to term the DROID, or Milestone, a temporary iPhone killer. See.
