Cricket and Kyocera finally announced the final release date and price sale for the Kyocera Zio, first Android handheld that Kyocera will offer. With its 3.5 inch display, EVDO Rev. A 3G, Android 1.6 running system, and a 3.2 MP camera, the Zio is available starting today in all cricket stores for $250. Doesn't seem like a bad deal. Along with the release of the phone, Cricket will also introduce a new Android plan with which users will enjoy the use of unlimited minutes, unlimited text, SMS and MMS, unlimited international texting, web and data transfer and dowloading, for the price of $55 a month, and that includes taxes and fees. Makes me wonder, will Metro come up with something like this anytime soon? Besides their $60 Blackberry plan, Metro should consider more options, like Cricket is doing with this new Kyocera Zio running Android.
