iPhone Users Gain Eye-Fi
By Travis Lelle

Eye-Fi, producer of wireless SD cards, announced they were preparing an application that will allow iPhone users to wirelessly transmit images between their computers, the Web, and their iPhones. The new application will be free to existing Eye-Fi card owners, but initially won't be avaialble at all to new users. With the cellular or Wi-Fi capacity of the iPhone, the Eye-Fi application can automatically upload images to one of 25 established partner sites or to a user's home PC. Compatible with the original iPhone and the 3G, Eye-Fi also integrates the iPhone's geo-tagging capabilities. User can embed and upload location coordinates to their photos, allowing sites like Flickr and Facebook to map users pictures for them.
