Verizon and Skype are back in the cell phone news spot light as they announced their exclusive partnership in the U.S., with the plan to bring the popular VoIP calls and messages service provided by Skype, to one of the biggest telecoms in the US Verizon. They are trying to spread the word of this new partnership by developing a marketing scheme that involves animation sequence. This sequence is showing how Skype will be integrated into the cell phones on Verizon's network. Although this video displays pretty much on the surface of things, and does not get to in depth, however you do get some interesting info from it.
One thing you do learn from the video is that Skype calls will be received on your device as would any normal call coming it, as the Skype app runs in the background. Verizon made sure to tell their customers Skype calls will not be charged against minutes in your mobile plan. This will give some Verizon users will have flexibility to their handset. This new partnership should bring a better cell phone use to the end user. We here at CellPhoneTrek will bring you a review on this new Skype application when it comes available. Check back with us soon, and feel free to tell us what you think about this venture. [Via
