18 months from the original iPhone’s release comes the iPhone 3G S's release. In comparison, how do these two match up? The picture above answers that question strongly. The comparatively short line on Regent Street today could be accounted for by a number of variables: the cruddy economy, the large increase in cost relative to the increase in worth of the phone, or Apple’s allowance of advanced iPhone 3G S orders with home delivery. Looking at it negatively in Apple’s perspective, it could just be the face that people are less willingly to wait for an extremely high priced phone that hasn’t grown up too much from its predecessor. The new iPhone just hasn’t made the societal impact that Apple products previously have. Fyi, the iPhone 3G S is now on sale in the UK, a few more European countries, and North America. I wish there was more excitement!
