What more will Samsung introduce today? Already having announced multiple new phones today, Samsung adds another two Omnias: the Omnia II (I8000) and Omnia LITE (B7300). Introducing you to the specs, we will start with the Omnia II, the follower to the popular Omnia. Specs include: • Massive 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display • Wi-Fi • Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional (upgradable to 6.5) • TouchWiz 2.0 UI • Up to 48GB of storage • 480p video recording and playback • Advanced R Touch (Resistive Touch) that “enables faster, more accurate touch response” • HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps Impressive. Let’s move on to the inferior Omnia LITE: • HSDPA • Full touchscreen form factor • TouchWiz 2.0 • 3 megapixel camera • A-GPS • Microsoft Office Suite • Wi-Fi • Push email support • Full HTML Opera Web browser Samsung’s focus was obviously directed to the Omnia II and not much to the Omnia LITE. Although, both headsets seem to be worthy and will certainly be appreciated by their respective intended customers. The Omnia II will be available by Verizon Wireless this year. Prices are not yet available. Keep ‘em coming Sammy!
