Pros :- The Samsung Gravity T is beyond quick, reacting with little lag, and Social Buzz is rather advanced and nice if you enjoy social networking sites such as Twitter or Facebook, and the Full QWERTY keyboard is nice as well. The keyboard doesn’t stick and it feels great.

Cons :- The Screen is a Resistive touchscreen and is not very accurate, the camera is of low-grade - only 2-Megapixels, it still falls far short from being anywhere near a smartphone, not very advanced of a device.

The Gravity T features a sleek Touch Wiz user interface with a gloss finish. The phone has numerous options for personalizing the phone. By exchanging the wallpaper, updating the screen saver, and changing the ring tone, the Gravity T can be quickly adjusted and rearranged to your liking. Furthermore, the phone can be specialized via dragging and dropping widgets and applications of your choice into one of the three home pages. The 2.8-inch resistive touch screen has 240 X 320 resolution, creating a coloful appeal for the user. The phone’s brightness, backlight, and font are all adjustable per user. The Samsung has a nice feel to it’s full slide-out, horizontal QWERTY keyboard, allowing for a broader typing surface. The extra keyboard room prevents cramming keys together and thus mistyping. Numbers can be accessed from the top row of the key pad by pressing the alt key. The only complaint with the Gravity T structure is a flatter keyboard than desired. The 1000 mAh batter has a listed battery life at 6 hours for communicating, with a 16.7 day life on standby. The 2-megapixel digital camera located on the rear panel has video capabilities, a step above comparable 2-megapixel camera models. The camera is also fix-focused, slightly making up for its mere 2-megapixels. The Gravity 3 has multiple applications and widgets that can be customized and rearranged to the three home screens. The phone has assigned camera and lock keys on the side to maximize ease and prevent unwanted typing. At 4.29 inches in length, 2.23 inches in width, and 0.59 inches in thickness, the Gravity T is light weight and a great size considering it’s multimedia abilities.

The Gravity T’s call quality was excellent without interruptions. The speaker phone served its purpose as a loud alternative to directly speaking to the phone, with minimal echo. The phone also displayed good sound quality when playing music on speaker from the media center. I was pleasantly surprised with the loudness of the speaker. When streaming videos, the quality of the picture remained clear with slight disturbances in pixel distortion. Thankfully, all streaming complications cleared within seconds. The Social-Buzz application allows you to stay in contact with all our social networks. You can remain logged in to multiple sites, with live feeds and updates brought to you instantly. Overall, the phone has excellent navigation keys with quick access to a side tool manager bar, or widget tray. In addition to customized home pages, the interface has shortcuts at the bottom of each including a link to internet browser, dial key pad, contacts, and text messaging. Changing widget settings is easily accomplished. When browsing the internet, the Gravity T has made bookmarking pages, zooming, and surfing the internet simple. Switching back and forth between internet and message system is extremely fast. Loading large files through emails can be slow, despite the 3G connection. The CPU overloaded a few times when in use. The phone has all the standard applications including a camera, blue tooth capability, and calender. In addition to the traditional apps, the Gravity T also has a built in GPS with Google Maps and Telev GPS Navigator available. Applications are easily added and removed by a plus or minus button that appears on the screen. Although the Gravity T is a touch screen, the phone does not use capacitive sensing technology, which is more sensitive to touch, movement, and accuracy than resistive versions. An interesting feature is the ability to draw characters on the touch screen to quickly open devices and bypass the homescreen. The shortcuts including tracing the letter C forcontacts, the letter M for messaging, V for voicemail, B for browser, and a square for home. Another feature I enjoyed was the vibration feedback setting which activates a buzz confirming when your finger opens something. The dolphin browser which allows various browsing options at once was definitely a nice bonus. With room for over 2,000 contacts in the phone book, you will never run out of space for future social connections.

At $79.99 with a 2-year T-Mobile contract, the Gravity T remains an affordable alternative to a classic smartphone. The Gravity T will have a successful audience in teens with its mutlimedia capabilities and T-Mobile Social Buzz application. With the addition of the touch screen, Samsung will broaden it’s audience to include business professionals. The Gravity T enables users to incorporate touch screen experience with multimedia capabilities. The full QWERTY keyboard and touch screen enables this Samsung to be a great competitor to other phones on the T-Mobile network. Special highlights include the Dolphin browser, three customizable home screens, and an impressive media player center. Music can be organized into favorites and played at extensive volumes with ease. The Gravity T is fast and the slide keyboard feature optimized space. Overall, Samsung’s Gravity T is a great bang for your buck. Avid text messengers can take their phone experience to a new level by adding a touch screen from the sleek Gravity T. The Gravity T was user friendly, easy to navigate, and resonably fast for interenet connection.

I got to play with one of these yesterday in a T-Mobile store (the rep brought one out from hiding) and I must say I was impressed. My teen daughter wants a phone that does calls and texting with a QWERTY yet still looks COOL (the other two like this T-Mobile currently carries are definitely not cool), and she was really like this one. The other nice thing is that you don't need a $30/mo data plan with this, but if you do want basic web and facebook/twitter, TMO is rolling out a special $10/mo plan just for this. Woot! I just found my daughter's next phone!

I too played around with this phone at the T-mobile store. While the touch screen on it is definitely different from my iPod touch, once I learned that you actually had to press down, it was a piece of cake to use. I currently have the original Gravity. I've had it for almost a year and it's starting to die on me. This will definitely be my next phone. I can't wait until Wednesday to get it!!! I like the 3G, and that you can watch YouTube videos on the Gravity T as I cannot do that with my current phone. :)

I was also just looking at this in the T-Mobile store, and one thing that I wasn't expecting at all, was how great the camera software is! You can edit photos so easily right on the screen. The accuracy of the touch screen does take a little bit to get used to, but after just five minutes, I was a pro! ...now to only convince my dad to get it for me :P

I have the original gravity (it's almost two years old now), and the battery always dies out on me. It's pretty junky compared to this one. But it gets the job done...for now. I WILL get this phone.

Just picked this up today. I also had the "original" Gravity which was a nice phone I wish that it only did more, and this is it. Spaced out keyboard, touch screen NICE. Only down side was NO headphone input. Had to buy blue tooth device with adapter for stereo headphones ($60)...Otherwise good deal.

I have an iPhone (on AT&T) already, so I was looking for something simpler, yet still fun to play with, for my Tmobile phone(I use it mainly for work). This phone fit the bill.

This is the worst phone I have ever had my hands on. The scrolling is a joke. Attempt to scroll, it either activates where you touch, or it scrolls multiple pages. Phone fails to make calls. Ability to change settings is very limited and hard to find. Email does not work. Will receive emails very slowly but cannot send emails. After many calls to Tmobile, they tell me that it’s a ‘know issue’. There is no time line on when or if it will be fixed. When I asked why they sold us a phone with this ‘known issue’ I was met scripted responses. They knew this would be a problem and simply created scripted responses. We are heading out to return the phone and possibly cancle our TMobile service

I have been trying to replace my current gravity for some time now, and i have had the same Samsung UI {user-interface} for years now and i have been wanting to get a new one, and my Gravity {the first one} is dieing on me, battery becoming crappy, turning off on its own, glitchy QWERTY keybord, and i saw this in the tmobile store and boy to i want it! going to see if i can get it for my bday or sooner!

i saw this phone at the T-mobile store yesterday and it is ICY! the full QWERTY key board, the touch screen, the custumizable menus, thats plural. the youtube app, facebook and twitter. thats just a few things and 3G capable without the smart phone plans that cost 30 bucks a month. this phone has everything u can ask for. Believe me i am going to get it.

I switched to T-Mobile from AT&T and got Gravity-T. In a few days I got an discount from Verizon through my employer that brought the verizon's price close to T-Mobile's. However I just could not part with the Gravity-T. Verizon has nothing that comes even close. Gravity does require some learning curve especially in using the touch-sccreen. One thing you need to do is to silent off the vibration and annoying beeps that are triggered several times when you scrool. The the touchscreen feels so much better.

I am currently saving up for this phone. I have a no-contract phone from T-Mobile and I am really getting sick of the crappy no-contract phone with no features and nothing to do, and the Gravity T doesn't require a data plan and isn't too expensive without a contract. But, I really want the red Gravity T I keep seeing pictures of everywhere, but it's not on the T-Mobile website or available for purchase anywhere else I've checked. Anyone know how to get the red Gravity T?

i would like to purchase this phone, but i cant find a list of accessories that come with the phone, one of the above comments stated that you need an adaptor to plug in headphones otherwise you will need a stereo capible bluetoothe device. perhaps i need to see it at a store.

I played with it at the T-Mobile store, and I LOVED it!! I am currently with Verizon and I although they have the best coverage, if you want a good phone, you have to get a data package. With T-Mobile it's optional(: But i have to convince my mom that the coverage is alright.. anyone have any opinions on the coverage? But I WILL get this phone! I am in love.. (:

This is a pretty cool phone..... I really wanted the red and I finally found it at radioshack.. I wish tmobile had it though. The touch screen takes some getting used to but I love the keyboard it's very easy to use. It's hard to find thing though I took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to change the ringtone but for being free I love this phone

I got this phone almost a week ago - still in my 2 week deciding period - while I like some of the features of the phone, when I make a call, I'm sounding muffled to other people. I find that I have to repeat myself a lot. I do text, so the full keyboard is nice. the camera is nice too, but Jeff (7/4/10) is right about the emailing and the scrolling. I was told that with the $10 web package I would not be able to get emails sent directly to my phone - I needed the data package for that. and for the life of me, I can't figure out the 'visual voicemail' and don't feel like waiting on hold to have someone explain it to me.....i'm afraid this one may be going back.

I purchased this phone 5 days ago, and I also got one for both of my son's at the same time.......My oldest one said he began having problems with his after a couple days.....He coudn't answer it, and somehow the screen turned pink and he coudn't figure out how to change it, and he didn't know if or how he did it......? Obviously he wants to return it. My other son really likes his and wants to keep it! I am still taking it under consideration.......I am not thrilled with the speakers when listening over the speaker to a friend, neither am I able to hear well when holding it up to my ear. To be fair, this is a problem I have with many phones. Otherwise, the only problems I am having is; I have never had a touch screen and the scrolling takes some getting used to....I do get very frustrated with the side buttons getting in the way when I am trying to do other tasks....There is so much to learn that I am going to have to sit down and spend a few hours trying to figure it out! My daughter played with it for about and hour and didn't like it for many reasons, the most important for her was she couldn't find a "pink screen"! Jury is still out on mine, however, I will be playing with it some this weekend and make my final decision next week........As I also have been using the original Gravity, and have been very pleased with it, except the hearing is an issue.....!

I just go this phone a few hours ago and we are already having a love hate relationship. the phone itself is great. has tons of cool features i love. but MY particular phone will not play sounds whatesoever. ive already replaced it, and im about to go to the store again to see whats up. maybe its just a bad shipment. but other than that it works great :) so if u get this, check everything before you leave the store.

I just got this phone two days ago, on Friday, and so far I love it. I've never had a phone before, this is my first one (I'm twelve), but I've seen and touched other people's phones and for now this one is the best. It is very easy to use. I hadn't even gotten home from the store yet (I live in Canada, so I got it from Virgin Mobile), and I sent out a text without even removing the plastic! It was that easy to figure out! I haven't tried the calling yet, because the first bill didn't arrive yet so I don't have all the minutes, but I'm looking forward to it. I tried calling the voice mail and I had no problem with hearing it. They keyboard is great. Although the keys are rubber and not raised too much, I have no problem with it. Bigger, more stubby fingers would have some trouble, but o far I just type with my fingernails. The touchscreen is very good. It's not as accurate as the iPhone and iPod Touch, obviously, but it's still pretty good. The phone makes a little beeping noise plus a little vibration every time you touch it (if you don't like that you can shut that off in the Settings), so you always know that yes, you did touch it. I recommend this phone to people of all ages, from twelve, like me, to about fifty. It looks very complicated, but once you start to use it, you realize that all it takes is some getting used to. (P.S. In Canada it's available in black - with a red keyboard - at Virgin Mobile for $49.99 with a two-year contract and about $199.99 for 30 days, and at Bell Mobility for $49.95 for a three-year, $99.95 for a two-year, $129.95 for a one-year, and $179.95 for no contract or prepaid.)

I just got this phone yesterday. I think that I will really love it once I learn to use all of the features. I had the original Gravity for a little over a year, and I loved the phone but it stopped accepting calls and the battery began to die. So I was excited to get the newest version of the Gravity, and its really, really nice. Only $10/month for the internet subscription and although getting on the web and navigating isn't as quick as say...and iPhone, its still worth it. It just demands taking the time to learn to use it so you can fully appreciate all it has to offer. So far, so good.

I got this phone less than a week ago and I have already had to get a new one because it kept restarting itself. It freezes easily and you have to be patient when using because it will clicks on tons of things you didn't. I hope it's just the two that I have gotten but I doubt that! ((I had the Samsung Behold previously so I'm used to a touch screen))

i have had the phone for about a month now, and there are some good and bad things about it. i would reccomend the phone for someone who likes to text with its slide out querty keyboard, and for calling it has great sound quality. not everything is perfect though. i find that the facebook is useless because it does not show notifications or messages, well atleast not on my phone. also, there is a bit of lag in the touch screen and when sliding open the keyboard. all in all? samsung could do a bit better, but it is a good quality phone. definetly not a smart phone though.
