The HTC Hero has broken the ice, well not completely, but it’s visible under the surface. Orange has invited the phone to display itself branded with a “coming soon” label. Information from Orange tells us that the device will be available for free on certain unknown, but definitely high-priced plans. HTC says that they are still testing the device and pricing for it should be ready by tomorrow. T-Mobile is likely to ensue and uncover their Hero, another phone that will be fully subsidized. Whatever carrier you choose, the only style available is the graphite edition. Those set out to get their hands on the Teflon-coated one; you might be restricted to the SIM-free route.
