In cell phone news, not even a week after Google updates their smartphone the Nexus One with a multitouch update, they also release an updated version of Google Maps available for the Motorola Droid that supports some multitouch functions. The new version of Maps enables a pinch to zoom function, it was no secret that the Android OS 2.0 version had in place support for this kind of stuff, it was all just a matter of time. It will be interesting to see if other device will gain some multitouch support, or how far Google is willing to go with these updates to their OS. As of right now the new version for Google Maps, the 3.4, is now available via a software update in the Market right now.
