Intel announced today that it was going to start going into the mobile software arena. Cell phones and mobile technology are where the newest advancement in technology will take place. Intel is hoping to get in on the mobile app and mobile OS arena by looking and exploring beyond its current practice of just creating and inventing microprocessors. The name for this new software is called Moblin, which stands for Mobile Linux. The OS will have Panel based navigation, Fennec web browser powered by Firefox. Also the use of Widgets will be highly utilized. Chief Executive Paul Otellini showed in the Intel developers forum the software developers can use to create app stores. The current plan is to be as non-restrictive on open developers as possible and urge them to make the application to work on multiple devices and computers that use Intel processors.
