Regarding today's cell phone news, HTC made an announcement that they will be rolling out a new class of smartphones, starting off with the HTC Smart. They have one goal in mind when it comes to this new category of devices, which is to make them affordable, and put them in as many consumers hands as possible. The Smart will run HTC's Sense UI and will be running the BREW OS. Some of the specs of the device, which aren't spectacular, but will get the job done are, 300MHz processor, 255 MB of RAM, a 2.8 inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen. It does have Bluetooth capability, and a microSD card slot. HTC is to release the Smart first in Europe and Asia this spring. [Via
