Details of the much rumored Hero have begun to surface today. The new Hero includes the HTC Sense widget-based interface that brings at-a-glance information to your phone’s home screen, a very handy assortment chosen. The phone also allows users to convert your phone’s focus from business to weekend mode. Looking through your contacts shows the normal data in addition to the conversations you’ve had through social networking status updates and pictures from the likes of Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, and Twitter. A dedicated search button quickly runs your search through the phone in services like Facebook. The HTC Hero, like the Palm Pre, appears apt to entirely integrate your local data with all your subscribed social media sites. The first images of the HTC Hero are out. The impressive specs include Qualcomm’s MSM7200A proc running Android at 528 MHz, 512MB/288MB ROM/RAM, 3.2-inch TFT-LCD with 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 900/2100 MHz HSPA and Quad-band GSM, trackball, GPS, 802.11b/g WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, G-sensor, compass, and 5 megapixel auto-focus cam with microSD extension. Yea, she’s a beaut. Furthermore, the white version of the Hero has an advanced Teflon coating to preserve the phone’s cleanliness and keep it grime free. Two other coatings are multi-touch and anti-fingerprint. The Hero is physically revealed in Europe in July on T-Mobile and Orange. Asia will receive shipments later this summer while North America will lag behind by receiving them later in 2009. Regardless, this is a phone to look out for. Remain vigilant for the rest of the year.
