Even more eco-friendly cell phone news today from AT&T, they seem to be on a roll with their new green crusade. AT&T has issued a challenge to all of their subscribers to make the switch to online billing in an attempt to cut down or get rid of paper bills altogether. The deal is that AT&T will plant a tree for each subscriber that chooses to go paperless, up to one million trees. The statistics behind their theory are pretty intriguing, for instance of one million customers make the switch, it will save 400,000 pounds of paper, prevent 6 million pounds of greenhouse gases, and 4 million gallons of waste water won't be disposed of into lakes, streams, and rivers in a year. The challenge is obviously free of charge, and the customer will get to choose the area in the U.S that their tree is planted (in select areas needing reforestation). [
