Centennial Wireless has been bouncing around aimlessly, but generally heading in the direction of AT&T for a year now. With a payment of $944 million, AT&T has finalized its possession of Centennial Wireless. Accompanying all wireless acquisitions, a transformation of 100 US distribution locations from Centennial Wireless to AT&T will be completed by January of 2010. Slacking languidly behind are the spots located in Puerto Rico, which will finish its transition by the middle of 2010.  In order to commence a symbiotic relationship, AT&T will deploy 3G at more than 100 Centennial cell sites and extend 3G coverage at 100 others. I’m sure there will be some transitional conflict to ensue, just stay tuned and you’ll find out as soon as we do. Read, perhaps?
