Here is some good cell phone news to those of you running an Android phone with a outdated version of the operating system. The news was broke by a reporter at AndroidandMe, however all good things most of the time come with a catch. This catch deals with each handsets processor speed, and if they aren't fast enough they will get the firmware from the update, but they might not have use of all the features such as the Nexus One does. These features include live wallpapers, ect. Different phones will require different avenues of how they will receive the update. Some of the Android phones will require a wipe the they experience the update, others will have to do a PC install. The details are still being worked out by US carriers and Android handset manufactures, however everything should be ready in the upcoming future. AndroidandME goes even further to report that this circus should all be completed by the 2nd quarter of this year, 2010. To kick start this chain of events the G1, and myTouch will be the initial two handsets to get this party on the way. As more information surfaces on this development we here at CellPhoneTrek will get you up to date and current on all the happenings. We will bring you info on all the cell phone use and cell phone reviews as they come in after the upgrades are complete, keep checking back with us for new info! [Via AndroidandMe
