Today in cell phone news, a analyst firm call Flurry Inc, is reporting that Google sold around 80,000 of the smartphone Nexus One, a Android powered device, and the first attempt of Google to sell a product branded by them. There could be a few reason for this very low number for the first month, the first reason being how Google is selling the product. Instead of selling it directly through a weireless provider, They have actually made a web page www.google.com/phone to sell the product. Phones that were sold directly through a provider like the Motorola Droid, sold 525,000 units during its first month of sale. The iPhone sold more than 600,000 units during it's debut. It will be interesting if this number will pick up, and if Google takes another approach to selling and marketing the Nexus One. [Via
