HTC Patents New Magnetic Stylus
By Fred Salva

With the growing popularity of capacitive touch screens, the infeffectivity of the stylus has been a troublesome side effect to the electrical nature of this technology.  The capacitance touch screen works off of the electrical disturbance created by the finger to determine the point of contact.  This disturbance of electical current is highly effective when using your phalanges but lacks when using a stylus that has no electic charge.  The stylus has worked well enough on resistive touch screens but needs a litte something extra to work with the modern screens.  HTC has found a fix for this problem that seems to be a no brainer in retrospect, add a magnetic head to the tip of the stylus.  HTC has just patented this little jewl of a stylus and will give users a excelled degree of control and accuracy over previous styli.
