Over the weekend I'm sure you have heard about the devastating earthquake that was recorded in Chile. The earthquake came in a the scale at an 8.8, and caused many deaths and a whole lot of tragedy. It seems like earthquakes are happening more and more, or at least making head lines this year after the devastation that happened in Haiti. With what the people of Chile have endured, every one tries to take part and bring some relief to the people in need to try and help fast a swift recovery. During these times coming in contact with family members and friends becomes a difficult task indeed. Verizon Wireless is doing their part to try and make the communication between parties here and Chile as easy as possible. From February 26th until March 6th all U.S. to Chile long distance calls are free of charge. Verizon is also doing their part in taking donations in much of the same way as they did in the act to help Haiti. Customers can donate $10 to Habitat for Humanity, all you need to do is text CHILE to 25383. There is also another organization aiding to the relief as well, to donate to the World Vision, text CHILE to 20222. Take part is helping this small world! [Via Verizon Wireless]
