
There’s an obvious correlation held between edition numbers of BlackBerry phones. Applying this correlation, it can be said that the 8520 will likely have a successor called the 8530. The 8530 is set to be RIM’s new low-end CDMA QWERTY offering. Boy Genius Report described it to be equipped with QVGA display, EV-DO, BlackBerry OS 5.0, and a 2 megapixel camera. Being the successor for the Tour as well, the 8530 really doesn’t seem to progress RIM’s cell phone line, but we’re sure it will be personally suitable for many, especially seeing that the phone will likely come with WiFi.
