Yesterdays details were released by the Federal Communications Commission on its National Broadband Plan. The FCC hopes this will deliver broadband that is affordable to over 98 million Americans nation wide. This new plan that will be set in place by the FCC will spur competition in this current market place, and improve the infrastructure of the broadband infrastructure. This seems to me like the FCC is going to gain a lot of control in a heavy duty market, but they say its for the better? In this plan you will see additional MHz added to the wireless spectrum the end of this new decade. Despite predictions that broadcasting networks would be against giving up the spectrum, some are jumping on the bandwagon and coming on board this new plan. The chairman at the FCC has said ' We've certainly heard from a number of broadcasters who have told us that this is a promising directions and that they are getting ready to roll up their sleeves with us'.
