Auto3G improves battery life in Jailbroken iPhones

Until the iPhone 4 came out and improved over the older versions of this apple product as far as battery life goes, the usage of battery was a fairly big concern for most users. Auto3G should help your iPhone extend its battery life in between charges simply by turning 3G off whenever you put the screen to sleep or lock your phone. In order to be able to use this application, the phone needs to be jailbroken, but it might just be worth it to jaibreak your phone if battery life will improve somwehat. When Auto3G shuts off the iPhone's 3G, it leaves the 2G or EDGE on for notifications, SMS and calls, and turns 3G back on when the phone is being used again, therefore your iPhone will not use nearly as much battery when it is simply sitting idle on your desk or in your pocket.
