Apple is victorious again for the nth time - this time winning against a patent fight with Nokia. Last Friday, the U.S. trade panel judge finally declared its initial decision to rule out the allegation citing that Apple didn’t violate any of Nokia’s five patents. It all started when Nokia asked the trade panel to bar the iPhone 3GS and iPod Nano music player for allegedly infringing Nokia’s patents. But according to Judge James Gildea of the International Trade Commission, his initial determination is that Apple didn’t actually violate any of Nokia’s patents. The initial statement of Judge Gildea will still take need the approval of the entire commission and the said target date for the final decision will be on August 1 this year. Nokia spokesperson Mark Durrant was quoted saying, 'While Nokia does not agree with today's initial determination that there has been no violation, we'll wait to see the full details of the ruling before we decide on any next steps.” Source
