If you recall, we’ve told you before that Apple was going to sue Samsung for using the very same unlocking mechanism on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. You know, after this announcement I was really trying to find what those two have in common and I can say with a firm that there is nothing even close to the word “same”. As you can see yourself, they look and act different. Well, I do recall that Samsung’s device running Android 2.3 sport pretty much alike unlocking systems but the Galaxy Nexus has never been running Gingerbread and I am pretty sure that it won’t. Here’s what officials say about this patent issue: “We’re aware that there was a hearing involving Apple’s slide-to-unlock feature after our patent infringement case last Friday and a series of products in the Galaxy lineup were accused there, but what we’ve discovered is that the Galaxy Nexus wasn’t one of them.”
