If you are curious how Apple is currently doing in the overall smartphone market share in the U.S., then perhaps this news update will interest you. ComScore apparently has got that one answered for you. In a recent report released by the research company, ComScore is suggesting that in spite of the high climb and the tough competition, Apple’s overall share in the U.S. OEM market is continually growing. While Android is dominating the whole smartphone market with its myriad of OEM companies, Apple is nevertheless showing signs of progress. Statistically, Android covers roughly 33% of the overall pie chart with Samsung (24.7%), LG (20.9%) and Motorola (16.1%) as its top OEMs. Trailing Android is Apple with 7.5% leading to an overall market share coverage of 25.2% to the chart. We’re expecting Apple to improve more this year with the release of the iPad 2 and the incoming iPhone 5. Source
