But we’re afraid that we might miss out something important or major this year, so we asked major international bank Citibank its thoughts about the mobile industry this 2011. Well, here’s what Citibank has to say – Apple’s App Store will definitely go faster with a very possible $2 Billion in overall gross revenue this year. IT research Company Gartner also has its own predictions for Apple’s App Store in the next coming years. Gartner is confident that the App Store will gain over $27 Billion in the next two years. Hmmm. Thanks again to smartphones, the Apple is gaining the world slowly but surely. With a whopping 53% increase of smartphone sales last year, we wouldn’t wonder why. Source
