2011 is already far-far away from here and it is the highest time to reveal earning numbers. Following a good tradition of other manufacturers and carriers, Amazon announces its fourth-quarter 2011 earnings. I can’t say that they are shocking and it seems like Amazon succeed in one field and lost in the other. So, Amazon’s net revenue was up 41 percent year over year to $48.08 billion, but net income fell 45 percent to $631 million. The Amazon Appstore, though, did well in the three months ending Dec. 31, 2011 and, maybe, one of the best things is that more apps were downloaded in those three months than in all previous quarters combined. And, of course, the last but definitely not the least – Amazon’s Kindle Fire. Amazon has already announced that their tablet is the "best selling," "most wished for" and "most gifted device" of the 2011 holiday season and sales of all its Kindle products were up 177 percent over Q4 2011. Way to go, Amazon!
