After Outages, AT&T Restores Service
By Travis Lelle

On the last Monday of December 2008 AT&T issued a statement to their customers reassuring that service has been restored. A power outage in a Bloomfield, Michigan facility due to bad weather caused service to hiccup in parts of the U.S. AT&T claimed most services were back up on Sunday, however some customres may experiene 'sporadic service issues' while equipment was rebooted to recover from 'impacted power outages.' As of Tuesday AT&T wrote on it's Twitter page that service had been fully restored. On Sunday however many AT&T subscribers reported data services and cell phone communications were affected in multiple cities and states from Chicago to Michigan. Most notably was 3G data network inaccessbility. Users of the Apple iPhone or Research in Motion's BlackBerry mobile devices were not able to access some Internet features.
