If you ask Apple about Adobe they would say that Adobe has been lazy in creating a full version of Flash for smartphones. But in reality Adobe has been focusing on Android and has been working with Google since 2008 to create a full working version of flash for smartphones. Even thought its been a while Adobe says that it has taken a lot of effort because they've had to re-architect Flash so that it could properly function on Smartphones. The company has integrated multi-touch gestures support into its mobile version. As of now Flash says that the technology will only be available on Android 2.2 Froyo because devices with that technology have a JIT compiler that allows flash to run at a high level without draining out the battery. The company is hoping to work with several phone companies, that way they can ensure the best quality in all smartphones. Adobe hope that after Android they can then move on to Blackberry's WebOS.
